Supporting Cancer Research

A dear friend of mine, who is behind this event (amongst others), asked her friendslist to spread this announcement. I would do it, with no hesitation, for it is for a good cause, I admire the idea very much, but, having, unfortunetly, witnessed close by how terrifying this disease can be through a family member, it motivated me even more to post this. I'm not sure if I have many Supernatural fans on my friendslist, but, being the cause it is, it may interest some of you, being a fan or not.

The announcement is as follow:

--------------------------

Since August of this year Shallow Graves Magazine has been hard at work on a new kind of convention and can finally announce some of the details:

For The Cause Entertainment Presents
A Supernatural/Thriller Convention To Benefit The Canadian Cancer Society

August 28-30, 2009 in Vancouver, BC at the Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Downtown Hotel

Confirmed guests include Chad Lindberg (Ash), Fredric Lehne (Yellow Eyed-Demon), Samantha Smith (Mary Winchester), Charles Malik Whitfield (Agent Victor Henricksen), Richard Speight Jr. (The Trickster), Traci Dinwiddie (Pamela Barnes), and Psychic Dakota Lawrence.

Stay tuned to [info]4_the_cause for more details and more guest announcements.

Thank you very much for spreading the word. A lot of the reason we picked Cancer research to benefit from this event is that almost everyone working on this has either fought cancer personally or watched a loved one do so. I know that you have seen, first hand, how horrid the disease can be and how important it is to fund research for treatments and a cure.
